Day 4: Worthy of Love
I am worthy of your love and I am worthy of my own love
I am worthy of your love: “I got married and had kids pretty late. I had one aunt who was obsessed with family photos. She had pictures of everyone in the family with their spouses and kids in her house. She had no pictures of me until I got married and had a kid. It felt like I wasn’t worthy of being included in her mind until I had reached the status she was looking for.”
I am worthy of my own love: “I had an abortion early in my marriage, and then when I was finally ready for kids, I struggled to conceive. I had terminated something that I now so desperately wanted. Between the guilt and self-loathing, I wondered how to I could get back to self-love. After a time, I found that by giving myself compassion, grace, understanding, and forgiveness, I could find that love again.”

Even if your body and/or mind are betraying you, you shouldn’t loathe your own self, your own body. They say you can only control yourself - we argue that you can’t even fully control that. If you could, life would look very different for many people. Add fertility struggles to the mix and add in the hormones and grief, and the fact that your body simply is not listening…it's just ridiculous to think you can control you.
We invite you to give yourself that forgiveness, that love. Because you are worthy of it all!
Idea for meditation: I still love you, body - even if you're not doing what I want you to do.
