Fertility Sensitivity Training

Grow your understanding and support of individuals who are navigating fertility journeys with our comprehensive sensitivity training. Our Sensitivity Training program equips Jewish communal professionals—educators, organizational leaders, and clergy—with the tools and insights they need to foster empathy and create inclusive environments for those navigating fertility journeys. Through tailored curriculum and practical guidance, we empower leaders to better support individuals and couples in their communities, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggle.

Infertility affects 1 in 6 couples, and 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss, making it a painful and personal reality affecting not only those directly experiencing it, but also their loved ones. These statistics underscore the pervasive nature of infertility within our community. Given our collective emphasis on family and traditions, it becomes evident that if you are not personally grappling with infertility, chances are you are connected to someone who is.

Infertility and pregnancy loss are deeply personal and painful experiences that affect a significant portion of the Jewish community. Yet, the stigma, shame, and isolation that often accompany these challenges are exacerbated by cultural and religious expectations. I Was Supposed To Have A Baby (IWSTHAB) is dedicated to addressing this pressing need for understanding and support by offering comprehensive sensitivity training.

We offer flexible and customized training options, including 90-minute sessions and half-day workshops, available both virtually and in person. By participating in this training, you will be contributing to a more compassionate, supportive, and inclusive Jewish community, sensitive to the unique needs of those facing fertility challenges.

These sensitivity training sessions are customizable to support the needs of your community.

Testimonials

Our partnership with I Was Supposed To Have a Baby provided valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by those navigating fertility struggles within the Jewish holiday cycle. Dr. Aimee Baron offered practical strategies for clergy to foster empathy and create a more supportive community. The discussion was informative, equipping participants with new knowledge and advice.
This training is integral for all Jewish clergy looking to support their communities through fertility and pregnancy loss challenges. Each story and bit of wisdom strengthened my resolve to do my part in reducing the stigma of this very common, yet fraught, issue.
