Looking Back and Forward
This time of year brings up a lot of emotions for everyone.
We remember where we were last year at this time, physically, spiritually and emotionally.
We remember the fervent prayers, wishing and hoping that the coming 12 months would different.
We remember how much pain we were in then, and how we begged Gd to intercede.
We remember the people in our lives who have been thoughtless, not understanding how deeply we were suffering.
For some, prayers were answered.
But for others, there has only been silence.

And with that disappointment comes hurt, anger, disillusionment and distance. Because it’s normal to push away something from your life when you feel like you’re being ignored. It’s hard to keep going back over and over over again, begging and pleading when the door keeps getting slammed in your face.
And at a time of year when everyone else seems to be getting closer, it can feel like you’re being pushed further away.
So let’s talk about these difficult emotions as you look back and look forward.
