Don’t Put Your Emotional Health on the Back Burner

The only person who knows what you need is you.

There is no better time to advocate for yourself than when you are in pain. Because some people want to be surrounded by friends and family, and others want to stay in bed until it feels safe to come out again. Both are wonderful ways of nourishing yourself, so that you get what you need, but if your best friend shows up with a party bus to take you out, and you have snot running down your face and pajamas, it’s going to be awkward.

Put your emotional health first and tell people what you need. So that you get what you need.

Because you deserve it.

One of the things I love so much about my work is that I have the opportunity to shed light into the raw struggles of infertility and how it affects mental health.

The more we speak about it, the lighter the burden for those who are struggling.
