Parshas Vayakhel

Parsha of the week, but make it ✨fertility related✨
This week, the Torah reiterates the concept of Shabbos—specifically in Parshas Vayakhel, where Hashem reminds the people that they cannot do any work in the Sanctuary on Shabbos. We know the Torah doesn’t waste words; if something has already been said once, why repeat it? Why is Shabbos being emphasized again?
I believe it’s because of the profound importance of rest. Rest is not just for Hashem—who, after creating the world, rested on the seventh day—but also for us. It’s a reminder of the value of pausing, stepping back, and allowing ourselves to recharge, even when the work feels urgent and all-consuming.
Infertility is hard. Pregnancy loss is hard. The journey to build a family is hard. Make sure to take breaks. You deserve them.
