Comparing Family Size

Whether you are sitting around your grandmother's table or sipping lattes at the beach, I dare you to tell us that you don't check start checking family size every time.

(Inner dialogue)
"Wow - I haven't seen her in a while - it's been a busy pandemic."
"Oh, she still doesn't have any. Hmmm. What's up with that?"
"Wait - are those kids hers? No... can't be. I would have heard if she had twins."
"Oh - look - she's still not married."

Stop.
Just stop.

Yes, I am talking to you (people who are struggling).
And you (people who are not...but just like to talk).

You (the ones struggling) are whole, you are worthy and you are pretty amazing despite the really crappy things that have been happening in your life.

You don't deserve to put yourself down like that, and no one else should be doing it either.

Hold your head high and don't do the comparisons.

We broke free of the slavery thousands of years ago. There is no need to willingly put yourself back there.

Sending my love for an emotionally healthy, spiritually uplifting holiday filled with hugs, chocolate covered matzo and all the alone time you need.
