Wave Of Light

The past few days have been horrifying. We grieve with you, we cry with you, and we share your same fears.

Our Jewish family is collectively suffering right now. In times of need, our tradition teaches us that we must support and care for one another.

At I Was Supposed to Have a Baby, our work centers around holding space for people struggling to build their family. Through social media, online resources, support groups, podcasts, and global gatherings, we support people who are grieving to ensure that no one should ever have to suffer alone, and that includes now.

Each year, on October 15th, in honor of Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day, people around the world light a candle(s) at 7 pm local time in memory of the baby or babies they have lost. Photos of these candles on social media create a wave of light that spreads across the globe in remembrance and support.

We have created our own “WAVE OF LIGHT” Resource Guide to support the Jewish Community as we move through this current crisis. We encourage you to share these resources and graphics widely, on and off social media, around the world, to help support anyone grieving.

Even in the darkest of times, the Jewish people have overcome adversity time and time again and we will continue to do so, together.

Sending strength, love, and light to you and your loved ones.

Follow along over the next day as we give you the resources to create your own Wave Of Light:
