Ways To Say No

On Mother's Day or any random Thursday.
For that shabbat meal invite or for hanging out after work.
For your nephew's bris or for that community fundraising event.

For when the last thing you want to do is get out of your pjs, you need to find ways of saying NO in a clear, direct and concise way. Because it's kinda awkward telling people that you haven't showered in days and you really don't want to get out of bed.

Let's be clear - there is no guilt in doing what you need. There should be no shame doing what your mental health requires right now.

Some things to remember:
-You don't need to validate your reason for saying no.
-You don't need a reason to say anything other than "no, thank you."
-"No" is a complete sentence.

But, if you feel the need to add on some extra words, you can use these suggestions in a gentle, clear and firm way.
