Stopping Treatment

“Today I canceled my initial RE appointment.
The one I needed to make in order to start an IVF cycle.
The one I spent nearly 6 years fighting about with my husband.
The one he had finally agreed to after our marriage nearly ripped apart.
It was my choice to cancel. I had my reasons. It's time for me to stop.
Can we normalize not pursuing or stopping treatment? Can we discuss that not every "journey" ends in a baby?
It's not pretty and it's painful...so why is the message always- ‘keep fighting!’ or ‘It'll happen!’
Why can't we encourage folks to do what works for them?”
