Medical Management Miscarriage Story

“I took medical management when I had my miscarriage just over 2 months ago. The reason I chose to do medical management was because I spoke to a gynaecologist who specialises with infertility, and he told me out of the 3 options the hospital gave me (D&C, medical management or let it come alone), the medical management is better for me. He said that this is because a d&c at the end of the day is a procedure and it comes with side effects.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However when I went to the hospital to get the tablets I had to take (to help the fetus come out), the gynecologist warned me about all what I will be going through. She warned me that someone should be with me all weekend (I took it on a Friday) because I may lose so much blood that I could be weak etc. She said I will be in extremely bad pain, so she gave me strong painkillers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I just thought, ‘Ye ye, she is exaggerating. I’m sure it will be fine.’
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And oh was I wrong!! That Friday night was the worse night of my life!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The pain and trauma and blood loss that I went through, I would not wish it on ... my worse enemy. In my opinion, I think a d&c physically is easier to get over and is definitely less painful. But then again it could have side effects etc.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I still relive that trauma and stuff I went through that night every day!! Not a day goes by where I don’t think about it. 😢 I would love to hear other people’s experiences and if they feel the same trauma as me.”
