Leftover Embryos from IVF

So you have embryos left over from IVF but you dont wany any more kids…. Now what?

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. What are your options when you have embryos that you aren’t going to use?

1) Donate them to research: This can be a meaningful way to give back to the science and medicine that has helped bring you other children into the world

2) Donate them to another person'/couple: It can be incredible fulfilling to help another person/couple trying to grow their family

3) Hold on to them: Maybe right now you feel strongly about not growing your family any more, but things may change in the future. If you continue to store the embryos, you’ll give yourself options down the line if you change your mind

4) Dispose of them: The clinic can dispose of the embryos for you or give you the embryos to bury on your own. You can have a ceremony to reflect upon the process and express gratitude
