Grief Looks Like

Once again, @shoshanastavsky writes about the feelings that are sitting in all of our hearts and gives meaning to the pain. Thank you. 💔❤️💔“Grief looks like seeing the bottom of a pint of Ben & Jerrys in one sitting.

Grief looks like crying in bed for hours on end.

Grief looks like laughing with a group of friends.

Grief looks like walking around the grocery store in circles and putting nothing in your cart.

Grief looks like not wanting to hold your new baby nephew.

Grief looks like a fun trip to the beach.

Grief looks like a pile of chocolate candy wrappers.

Grief looks like not being able to accept a positive pregnancy test.

Grief looks like random bouts of crying for years on end.

Grief looks like a happy, all made up you, going to the mall.

Grief looks like ignoring everyone’s phone calls for months on end.

Grief looks like questioning yourself over and over and over again.

Grief looks like reliving every step of the day of the loss.

Grief looks like insomnia.

Grief looks like a night out in the city.

Grief looks like a shattered vase.

Grief.

No rules.

Just pain.

No answers.”
