Pregnancy Announcements: Texting vs. In-person

Which camp are you in?

For those of you are pregnant, do you think news like this should only be shared face-to-face? Do you want to want to share with your whole family at once, during a holiday, get-together or family celebration/simcha?

And for those of you who are struggling (infertility/miscarriage, etc.,) do you want people to share their news to you in-person and would be offended if they did it in any other way? Or would you prefer to hear by phone call, email, or text, so that you don't have to put on a brave face when feeling so many conflicting emotions.
