Don’t Ask Anyone If They Are Fasting… Ever.

Tonight begins Tisha B’av, the saddest day the Jewish year.

Here’s a quick reminder that it's none of your business why someone is or is not fasting tomorrow.

It's none of your business if they are in the early stages of a pregnancy, and don't want to share their status yet.

So on behalf of everyone who doesn't want to talk about it (even beyond the fertility community - those who have eating disorders, other mental or physical health challenges, etc), don't ask.

Ever.
