I Was Supposed To Have A Baby

Acknowledge Always

It's not easy to talk about miscarriage.
It's not easy to talk about stillbirth.
It's not easy to talk about infertility.

It's not easy to talk about death, money, terrorism, anti-semitism, racism or a million other topics.

But we talk about them anyway.

Why?

Because we care.

When people are struggling, whether it is something personal or very public, part of being a kind human, of being a mensch (a person on integrity and honor), is caring about your fellow man.

So when someone is downtrodden, we don't ignore their pain and tell them to suck it up. We don't tell them to get over it and to move on. We don't give them grief (ha!) for being sad. We don't tell them that it's not so bad and that other people have it worse.

And we don't ignore it or pretend that it doesn't exist.

Acknowledge always. Even if it makes you uncomfortable.
